Our programs are a catalyst for building strong sibling relationships, one of the longest relationships in most of our lives. Our community is a nurturing and loving place where youth impacted by foster care gain a sense of belonging.
A summer camp program designed intentionally to strengthen the sibling connection.
Rooted Kinections Inc. serves every child's inherent need to know their family. The need to CONNECT. To make MEMORIES. To BELONG. Rooted Kinections provides kids living in foster care a place to come where they are no different from anyone else, where they are not judged for being in foster care and can simply, belong.
Our flagship program is a seven day, six night summer camp experience during which we support sibling connection in a safe, neutral, camp environment. This provides opportunity to create shared childhood memories that youth would not otherwise have due to living in separate homes.
Our signature programs are specifically designed to include sibling enhancement projects, life skills learning, and meaningful events that allow youth to express their feelings among their siblings and others who are just like them.
Rooted Kinections Inc. believes that all youth deserve the opportunity to spend meaningful time with their sibling(s) and we are dedicated to making that happen. Many people take for granted the opportunity to share a meal, play games, or even say ‘good-night’ to a sibling- our campers cherish these small moments. Our hope, is that all siblings are placed together and until that happens, there’s camp!
Who We Serve
We serve youth primarily from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, though we also accept referrals from the surrounding region. With over 400,000 youth impacted by foster care across the US, nearly 70% are separated from at least one sibling.

It takes numerous caring individuals each summer to reunite siblings for the week. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, such as social workers, teachers, nurses, corporate executives. If you are kind, caring, responsible, committed to helping youth, and understand the importance of the sibling connection, we want you!
